Creating a beautiful home isn't about buying the right things—it's about creating a space that feels intentional, personal, and uniquely yours.

As the owner of Texture & Tuft, I've spent years helping customers create homes that feel collected rather than decorated. My approach combines practical design principles with a deep understanding of how people actually live in their homes. Whether we're working together in your home or in my shop, my goal is to help you make confident design decisions that you'll love for years to come.

In-Home Design Services

If you've ever looked around your home and felt like something was missing—but couldn't quite put your finger on what—I can help.

My in-home design services are tailored to your space, your style, and your goals. During our consultation, I'll walk through your home with you, discuss what is and isn't working, and create a plan that helps bring your vision to life.

Together we can tackle everything from furniture placement and paint selections to sourcing new pieces, styling shelves, refreshing a room, or creating a cohesive design plan for your entire home.

The Process

A non-refundable $125 deposit is due at the first meeting during which we will discuss your design preferences, lifestyle, any existing furniture pieces you would like to use, and go over the space we are working with. 

From there, I will go back and map out some design vision boards (colors, patterns, vibe) and meet with you a second time to see what you like & what you don't.

Then, I'll put together a more concrete room design with furniture and accents.  I recommend pieces that are the best for your space - whether they come from my store or not.  Any items ordered from my shop will be 20% off.  For each room, if the total amount ordered from my shop is greater than $500, I waive all hourly fees for the design and implementation and the initial $125 will go towards your invoice.  This is super easy to do in living rooms and bedrooms, but if we are talking about a kitchen or dining room where we may order another brands furniture an hourly rate of $125/he would be charged for that room.  I take care of all the ordering and stage everything for you once it arrives.  

My goal is to offer people access to great design in a more personal way - you're just working with me instead of a large team - and because of the access I have to suppliers directly, I'm able to do everything at a much lower cost by cutting out the middle man.


In-Store Design Sessions

Not every project requires an in-home visit.

Bring me photos of your space, room measurements, paint colors, inspiration images, or even screenshots from your Pinterest boards, and I'll help you select pieces that work beautifully together.

These sessions are perfect for clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed by choices, or simply want confidence before making purchases.

Whether you're searching for the perfect pillows, styling a bookshelf, choosing artwork, or pulling together an entire room, I'll help you create a cohesive look that reflects your style and works within your budget.

About Me

Design has always been a passion of mine. I earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Entrepreneurial Leadership from the University of Delaware, and over the past two decades, I've built a career that combines both design and retail strategy.

My experience extends beyond interior design. I spent 10 years with Ann Taylor, managing multiple store locations and traveling throughout the region to support new store openings and train teams on visual merchandising and sales-driving display strategies. I later managed buying and merchandising for a specialty menswear retailer in Baltimore, where I further developed my understanding of customer behavior, inventory planning, and creating compelling shopping experiences.

As an entrepreneur, I've spent years developing creative merchandising solutions for pop-up shops, markets, and retail events. In 2025, I designed and opened my own brick-and-mortar store, Texture & Tuft, which has become known for its thoughtfully curated displays and immersive shopping experience.

I believe great merchandising is about more than making a space look beautiful. When products are presented in a way that tells a story and creates an emotional connection, customers stay longer, discover more, and ultimately purchase more. My goal is to help retailers create spaces that are visually compelling, strategically designed, and aligned with their unique brand and customer base.
